A Great October Day Fishing!!!!!!

So what would you do with 4 weeks vacation 2 weeks of sick time a year?

GO FISHING!

Took one of these days today and went fishing with a great friend.
After a short walk in we enjoyed a nice hot cup of coffee at a self made campsite. We could see the natives getting restless through the brush, so it was time to fish. With the beat up canoe left in the woods all season, winter included you always wonder if it’ll still float. I found out what temperature the water was, the hard and wet way. Yes the foot slipped off the shore as we pushed off and the water was up to shin. It was COLD!

.

Some fish neared 10”, but most 6-8”. The fly of the day was an irresistible. All day we both used the one fly and boated many fish. Not that big, but for native fish not bad.

Cool Reflections

A great fall day fishing in Maine, with brilliant colored foliage and brookies!
